Welcome to the volunteer corner of the OFF website!

"We all work together with a wiggle and a giggle,
We all work together with a giggle and a grin"
- Woody Guthrie
Our festival (that includes you!) is put on, in part, by fabulous volunteers. Over the 18 year history of the festival, volunteers have shown incredible dedication, commitment, warmth, and generosity. Our volunteers are a core part of the festival community along with the artists, staff, and others participating in the festival events. Great efforts, along with big smiles, have made amazing things happen.
2011 is going to be a particularly exciting (and hard working!) year as we are moving to a whole new site (Hog's Back Park) as well as anticipating a bigger line-up and attendance!
How to volunteer with the Ottawa Folk Festival you ask?
Volunteers play an active role in many aspects of the festival. This includes supporting the annual festival, volunteering at year round events, being involved with outreach and education initiatives, as a Board of Directors member, etc. Maybe you are a returning volunteer or are interested in becoming involved. Regardless, this is the part of the website you will want to check out!
Applications for 2009 and/or 2010 volunteers open May 1st.
Applications for all other volunteers open May 22nd.
To apply, first look at Festival Volunteering 101.
Then, fill out the application form.
