Held every year in mid-August, the Ottawa Folk Festival has been named one of Ontario’s top festivals by Festivals & Events Ontario. Not only will you reach over 17,000 enthusiastic music lovers, you will reach an excellent target market. Annual surveys of the Ottawa Folk Festival audience consistently show them to be a well-educated and high-income group. Featuring top-notch Canadian and international musicians from the folk and roots tradition, the Ottawa Folk Festival is a community-based event. It is run by over 500 volunteers and attended by thousands. The 14th Annual Ottawa Folk Festival will take place from Thursday, August 16 to Sunday, August 19, 2007. The main Festival site is located in beautiful Britannia Park on the banks of the Ottawa River. There will be evening concerts on the outdoor main stage, plus alternative programming inside the Ron Kolbus Lakeside Centre auditorium. On Saturday and Sunday, six daytime stages offer intimate, interactive sessions in music, dance and spoken word. In addition to the musical programming, there’s a Family Area, Craft Market, International FoodCourt and much more. The performer line-up for the 14th Annual Ottawa Folk Festival will be announced at the media launch in May 2007. It would be great to be able to include your name as a sponsor.
