A word about us

The Ottawa Folk Festival is held in the middle of August in beautiful Britannia Park in Ottawa's west end. The Festival has been recognized as one of the "Top 50 Ontario Festivals" by Festival & Events Ontario. Our 2009 festival will be held from Friday August 21st to Sunday August 23rd.

Getting to the Festival

By public transportation - OC Transpo:

OC Transpo has regular routes you can use to get to Britannia Park. Route 18 will have additional buses running during peak times throughout the Festival. In addition, routes 85 and 97 can be used to get to the Festival site. OC Transpo also provides an online travel planner which gives detailed point-to-point information for getting to and from Britannia Park from your location.

By bike:

Our site at Britannia Park is situated right on the Ottawa River bike path. Our hassle-free, secure bike lock-up area will have you out of your helmet and enjoying the festival in no time.

By car:

As our festival site is at a City park, paid parking is limited and available on a first come, first serve basis. We strongly recommend that you leave your car at home if you are able to. If not, we encourage you to arrive early to avoid disappointment. For guaranteed parking, please purchase an advance pass through the Folk Festival office at 613-230-8234. Only 200 are available, so get yours early.
