A word about us

The Ottawa Folk Festival is held in the middle of August in beautiful Britannia Park in Ottawa's west end.
The Festival has been recognized as one of the "Top 50 Ontario Festivals" by Festival & Events Ontario.
Our 2008 festival will be held from Thursday August 14th to Sunday August 17th.

Getting to the Festival
By public transportation

OC TRANSPO

The Ottawa Folk Festival has proudly partnered with OC Transpo to improve public access to our site at Brittannia Park.   In addition to accessing the site through regular route 18, or nearby through routes 85 and 97, you can also take the special OC Transpo/Ottawa Folk Festival bus to and from Lincoln Fields for easy connection to the Transitway.   Call the Folk Festival office at 612-230-8234 for more information or consult OC Transpo.   Use the convenient service of the OC Transpo Travel Planner to make your trip a cinch.   

By bike

Our site at Britannia Park is situated right on the Ottawa River bike path.   Our hassle-free, secure bike lock-up area will have you out of your helmet and enjoying the festival in no time. 

By festival shuttle offered by Gray Line



The Ottawa Folk Festival has once again partnered with Gray Line to offer a Folk Fest shuttle service to and from the site. 

By car

As our festival site is at a City park, paid parking is limited and available on a first come, first serve basis.  We strongly recommend that you leave your car at home if you are able to.   If not, we encourage you to arrive early to avoid disappointment.   For guaranteed parking, please purchase an advance pass through the Folk Festival office at 613-230-8234.   Only 200 are available, so get yours early.

Thursday/Friday
Gates open at 5 p.m. Music from 5:30 p.m.-11 p.m.

Saturday
Britannia Park: Gates open at 10:30 a.m. Music from 11:00 a.m.-11:30 p.m.

Sunday
Britannia Park: Gates open at 10:30 a.m. Music from 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m.
